2014 NSW State Budget

The NSW Treasurer, the Hon. Andrew Constance MP announced the following changes to State taxes, grants and levies as part of the 2014 State Budget.

National e-Conveyancing - Change to Duties

Property Exchange Australia (PEXA) aims to provide an electronic business environment for completing property transactions, including electronic lodgement with Land Registries and settlement of funds.

OSR to administer the collection, compliance and debt management functions for Mineral Royalties

From 1 July 2014, the collection, compliance and debt management functions for mineral royalties will move to the Office of State Revenue (OSR).


State Revenue Legislation Amendment Act 2014

The Act received assent on 20 May 2014 and makes amendments to the Duties Act 1997, the Land Tax Management Act 1956 and the Taxation Administration Act 1996.

Regional Relocation Grants Order 2014

On 12 May 2014, an Order was published on the NSW legislation website. Under the Regional Relocation Grants Act 2011, persons who relocate from metropolitan areas to regional areas and buy a home or take up employment or self employment in those regional areas can be eligible for a grant.
