Regional Relocation Grants Order 2014

On 12 May 2014, an Order was published on the NSW legislation website. Under the Regional Relocation Grants Act 2011, persons who relocate from metropolitan areas to regional areas and buy a home or take up employment or self employment in those regional areas can be eligible for a grant.

The Regional Relocation (Home Buyers Grant) Amendment Act 2013 received assent on 20 November 2013. Some changes to the scheme have been made.

Land tax threshold for 2014

The Valuer General has determined that the land tax threshold for the 2014 land tax year is $412,000. The premium land tax threshold for the 2014 land tax year is $2,519,000.
