Succession Planning Program
We recognise that there will be a need to recruit people to executive positions in the next 5 years. We have developed a program that aims to:
identify people with executive potential
establish a talent Pool of key individuals
provide them with development opportunities to compete for executive roles.
OSR will benefit from the increased executive capacity within the organisation. Individuals in the program will benefit from a range of development opportunities.
The initial program will be launched in 2008. The focus will be on roles at Directorate level and immediately below, with a view that the program may be rolled out to other grades levels (in future years) after the first program.
Following a rigorous selection process (including an application competency questionnaire, 360 surveys and assessment centre activities), selected Pool candidates will develop a Career Development Plan that could include a secondment to another NSW Public Sector department, a job rotation, an executive development program or a range of sponsorships to high-profile projects.
